Hope 4 Helene

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Love the good news!!!

So glad to hear your good news!!! So glad you have friends and famiy with you! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!!!

ooops!

I keep hitting enter and it posts the title. So this goes with the dr visit title.

Linda and I got there around 11:30 and it felt like we were there 2 days instead of 5 hours! The dr. was running late- back from his vacation (the nerve of him taking a vacation! He visited his wife's aunt who is a nun in a home for nurses....) Rob came and I think the 3 of us waited over an hour to see Dr. Kash- who we like. He does not rush his patients out and really listens. So I guess that is worth the wait.

GOOD NEWS! My blood counts are great!! The tumor in my neck feels smaller to him (and to Denise and I). I go for 2 more chemo treatments then a CAT scan to see what's up. In the mean time I need to get a port (no not wine) because my veins are not the best- after the last time I had b/c. They can only use one arm so back to the surgeon to get a port put in.

Linda and I were loaded up with goodies for the chemo party- plus she brought in all the new "rags' to see who is gay in Hollywood ect. and Tia walks in to join our party! She was loaded down with goodies plus a 3 pound bag of Robin Eggs! Where does anyone find a 3 pound bag? Having Tia come by made the time go faster- she is such ray of sunshine. Not that Linda and I aren't but we are getting a little too used to this routine.

Nurse Ratchett was off today! Had good nurses- so that helps! Michelle the plebotomist is still my favorite- she made sure we had a private room and is just so sweet. Warmed blankies...pillows yeah I am living the High Life!

BAD NEWS .....When Rob asked the dr how long I will be on chemo....it is indefinite..He has one patient in my similar situation who has been doing through this over a year. The options are pretty much wait and see....I may be able to tolerate this or I may need one of the chemo drugs with oral meds.

dr visit-all friggin day!
